Model plane maker chops partner’s body into pieces

A MODEL aircraft maker chopped the body of his common-law wife into several pieces after killing her inside their residence in Barangay Amsic, Angeles City on Sunday, March 24.

Senior Inspector Elaine Villasis, public information officer of the city police, identified the victim as Lindsey Avelino, 28, a sales agent and the suspect as Eduardo Passion, 40, an airplane replica maker.

Villasis said that a concerned citizen called the city’s Police Station 2 and reported that they found the victim’s body parts inside a luggage and some other parts stuffed in her own washing machine.

A team of policemen, led by Chief Inspector Fercel Deloria, responded to the crime scene and later conducted a hot pursuit operation against the suspect.

The cops cornered Passion near his work place in Barangay Pampang where a shootout between the lawmen and the suspect ensued, according to Villasis.

During the gun battle, the suspect was wounded and died on the spot.

Witnesses said that they heard Passion and Avelino shouting at each other inside their apartment before the incident.

Policemen recovered from the suspect a .9mm pistol and a black bag containing the victim’s head, arms, feet and other body parts.

Villasis said Avelino’s body parts were initially taken to the Angeles City Police Crime Laboratory and later transferred to Funeraria Pangilinan.

Senior Superintendent Narvin Mangune, city police ditector, lauded his men for the successful operation.
