USJ-R shoots for 4-0 start

LEAGUE-leader Ave Maria Sanctuary Park-University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) Jaguars will try to fortify their hold of the top of the team standings and shoot for their fourth win against the Lion-Tiger Aerosol-University of Southern Philippines Foundation Panthers in 2010 Partners Cup Collegiate basketball action today at the Cebu Coliseum.

The Jaguars will also face the Bibo Hotdog-Cebu Institute of Technology (CIT) Wildkittens in the high school game at 2:30 p.m, while the PTT Fuel-University of the Visayas will play the Aerosol-USPF Baby Panthers at 4.

The Jaguars of coach Edito Salacot are trying to protect a 3-0 card as they aim to stay undefeated in the tournament.

However, Salacot is wary of the danger the Raul Latonio-mentored Panthers pose.

The Panthers are 1-2 but are improving a lot with the presence of reinforcements Elvis Labares, Michael Sereño and Arletroy Mercader.
