THE Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (Pasuc) 11 State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association (Scuaa) Games 2019 will go full blast on April 22 to 26 in Compostela Valley.

University of Southeastern Philippines (Usep) sports director Jose Alther Rivera, during the Davao Sportswriters Association (DSA) Forum at The Annex of SM City Davao Thursday, March 28, said the Compostela Valley State College (CVSC) will host this year’s edition in partnership with the provincial government of Compostela Valley.”

“Some 1,300 participants from different state colleges and universities in the region will compete in 22 events as well as in four demonstration sports such as 3X3 basketball, archery, billiards and gymnastics,” Rivera said, adding that a Laro ng Lahi is also included as side events.

This is going to be the third regional games that usually serves as qualifying for the national games.

The number of member schools in the region just remained but Rivera said more events were included this year including the demo sports.

Teams from Mati City and Davao City already emerged overall champions in past staging of the games.

“If intact ang Usep contender jud mi pero gibahin man mi (Usep could still become a champion if we stayed together but we were divided into Usep South and Usep North,” he said.
