VALLACAR Transit Inc. (VTI), which owns Ceres Bus Liner, assured the public of its safety while on board Ceres buses to and from their respective destinations.
Jade Seballos, legal and media relations officer of VTI, made this assurance Thursday, March 28, after the company offered a Mass for the victims of the accident in Sitio Talos, Barangay Igmayaan, Don Salvador Benedicto on March 25.
Four passengers died in the accident, while eight others were injured, including the driver.
Seballos said it was an isolated case.
She said the company will have its own investigation on the incident.
VTI is yet to receive an official suspension order from the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) related to the incident.
Seballos said the company has taken care of the injured passengers and extended help to the families of the casualties.
She said the entire Ceres fleet will not be affected by the suspension order by the LTFRB as only one unit, the one involved in the accident, is under the San Carlos City route. The agency earlier announced the suspension of VTI's franchise.
"The families of the victims know how sincere the company is in helping them. But we welcome any case if there is any move from the families of the victims," Seballos said.
Some employees and officials of the company attended the Mass yesterday at the site of the incident.
