2019 Panagbenga Cup kicks off

A BANNER field of 60 squads sees action in different age categories kicks off Saturday, March 30 until March 31 at the Baguio Athletic bowl.

Spearheaded by the Cordillera Binnadang Football Club (CBFC), the tournament host teams coming from La Trinidad, Benguet, La Union and other provinces in Northern Luzon.

Trophies will be up for grabs in the side two day tournament which will serve as an avenue for grassroots football programs in the Cordillera to practice, learn, and improve their skill.

Twelve teams will vie for top honors in the premiere men’s open category divided into two brackets.

The 17 under girls will also have two brackets consisting of six teams each.

At least nine teams will also see action in the 11 under mix futsal while the 9 under mix and 7 under mix will feature seven teams each.

Seven more squads compete in the 17 under boys while the 13 under boys category will feature six teams in a single round robin format with the top teams advancing to the semis.
