THIRD District Representative Aurelio “Dong” Gonzales Jr. has taken his advocacy to provide more scholarship opportunities to students here as he allocated some P611,000 of his personal funds for the education of high school and elementary students of Mexico, Pampanga.

Gonzales, who is a native of Barangay Anao, visited his hometown on Thursday, March 28. Gonzales personally met with 571 student scholars and their parents.

His first stop was at San Juan High School where he personally assured 117 scholars and their parents of his continuing support for their education.

“As long as I am in public service, I will exhaust all possible avenues and measures to support the education of the students of the district,” Gonzales, who is running unopposed in the upcoming 2019 polls this May, said.

Gonzales also gave scholarship assistance to 175 students of the San Vicente Pilot School for Philippine Craftsmen and 177 pupils of Anao Elementary School.

During his visit to Anao Elementary School, Gonzales immediately included some 40 additional pupils in the scholarship allocation.
