MAYORALTY bet Vilma Caluag, together with her Team MagsilVi Tamu, on Friday evening, March 29, launched their campaign through a political rally held at her headquarters in Barangay Dolores, City of San Fernando.

Caluag, together with councilor aspirants Dein Henson, Jack Calimlim, Jay Cuyugan, Pol Quiwa, Boogie Padilla, Lorna Tolentino, Alvin Mendoza, Ten Samia, and Paolo Galang, presented their platforms of government before their supporters who joined them in the opening salvo.

Among Caluag’s planned programs are the establishment of a public hospital and dialysis center, additional health and financial assistance for Fernandinos, especially senior citizens, and increase in the number of scholars.

The presentation of platforms of governments was followed by a ceremonial lighting of candles led by Caluag which, she said, symbolizes the reason behind her decision to run for city mayor: “To give light to the city.”

Caluag also expressed her gratitude to her and the group’s supporters who joined them in their campaign kick-off, and expressed hope that they will hold on until the end of their fight.

“I never expected that Fernandinos will accept me and I thank them for supporting me and joining me in my fight for our city,” she said.

She also vowed to fulfill all her campaign promises if elected as local chief executive of this capital city.

“I may be a woman but I am a man of my words,” Caluag said.
