THE award winning and most sought after summer activity in North Luzon the Castaway Music Festival invaded Saturday, March 30, SM City Telabastagan in the City Of San Fernando for a music-filled weekend.
A powerhouse line-up featuring local band Chocolate Factory and in demand reggae artists including The Voice finalist Kokoi Baldo and Brownman Revival jammed with Kapampangan music lovers at the mall’s parking lot.
SM City Telabastagan mall manager Bong Garcia said the mall’s first ever Castaway Music Festival held at the mall parking grounds drew at least 10,000 crowd who sang and danced to reggae music all-night long.
“This is our first time to host the Castaway Music Festival and it is very overwhelming because we were really sold out and we can see the audience enjoying as they jammed with our featured artists,” Garcia.
Garcia said the Kapampangans’ warm welcome to the homegrown music festival will serve as a motivation to the mall management in making a bigger and better Castaway music fest in summer 2020.
Rising local band Chocolate Factory, meanwhile, expressed their gratitude to SM Supermalls for giving them a platform to perform before their fellow Kapampangan music lovers and enthusiasts.
“Thank you so much to SM City Telabastagan for bringing in this kind of music-loving Kapampangan crowd and letting us be part of this most sought after festivity,” the band said in the vernacular.
Kokoi Baldo, likewise thanked the festival organizer for choosing him to be part of a powerhouse line-up as it launched its version of Castaway Music Festival.
“It is always a pleasure to perform before Kapampangans and I thank SM City Telabastagan for bringing me here,” he said.
