REYMOND Micaral hit the game-winning jumper to steer the Wolves to a 99-96 victory over the Hawks in the Elite Basketball Club Cebu Season 14 last Friday night, March 29, at the Visayan Glass Basketball Gym in Guadalupe.
Micaral, who only tallied eight points, hit the biggest shot of the game, a fade away jumper with four seconds left.
The Wolves were down 13 points, 67-54, going into the fourth period. The Wolves, however, rallied and hit the final shot to clinch the win.
Lester Lucero scored 26, Angelo Delcampo had 25 and Merbien Dedace added 20 for the Wolves.
Axel Rabaya exploded with 28 markers, James Truz added 15, JoJoe Lañojan chipped in 13, while Leslee Canen and Kenneth Fernandez tallied 10 each.
Meanwhile, the Sharks beat the Rams, 76-70, in the other game.
Jude Bulan spearheaded the Sharks’ offense with 16 points, Ian Ortega contributed 13 and Ashley Villardar added 10.
Winly Besin was scorching hot and scored 29 points in a losing effort by the Rams. Gabe Dayanan and Elno Trangia had 13 each, while Mark Matidios added 10.
The Sharks, Wolves and Rams are all tied at 3-2, while the Hawks dropped to 1-4. (EKA)
