China wins pyromusical competition at SM Clark

THE pyrotechnics team from China emerged victorious as this year’s champion in the month-long Philippine International Pyromusical Competition (PIPC) at SM City Clark over the weekend.

Both France and the United Kingdom pyrotechnic teams tied as first runners up while the team from Germany was hailed as this year’s second runner up.

The audience that trooped to the mall was also treated to an epic finale performance as well from the Philippines’ exhibition through Platinum Fireworks. This was combined with amazing drone exhibitions and dazzling local inspirations such as the giant lantern theme.

“More than anything, for six magical weeks featuring breathtaking and spectacular fireworks display, we are glad that we were able to see a lot of happy and smiling faces and witness thousands of families enjoying and sharing their bonding moments with us here at SM,” SM City Clark public relations manager Venus Manalang said.

The PIPC is a tradition at the SM Mall of Asia that has brought endless enjoyment to millions of Filipinos each year. For the past nine years, the pyrotechnics have always complied with the international standards for environmental safety, at par with countries like Canada, Australia, Hong Kong and famous theme parks around the world.

In full support of the ongoing Manila Bay Rehabilitation Program of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, SM Supermalls moved the 10th PIPC from SM Mall of Asia to SM City Clark.
