THE police have identified two persons of interest in the shooting of graduating student Jovanie Pat, 21, in Barangay Labangon, Cebu City on Friday night, March 29.
Police Regional Office (PRO) 7 Chief Debold Sinas said they now have the photos of two persons who were identified by witnesses from footage from closed circuit television cameras near the crime scene.
Pat, a graduating college student, was shot dead by armed robbers onboard a motorcycle in Labangon. He sustained a gunshot wound on his right leg and died in a hospital later due to massive bleeding. The bullet hit a major artery.
Meanwhile, a worker of the Barangay Management Office in Barangay Toong, Cebu City was arrested in a police checkpoint in Barangay Buhisan after he was caught carrying a firearm and substance believed to be shabu Monday morning, April 1.
Redjie Cabingatan, 45, admitted that he owns the firearm and he is a drug user but the packs were not his. (From AYB of SuperBalita Cebu, LRC)
