THE Jose T. Joya Gallery presents “Latagaw og Utok” (Wandering Mind), a solo exhibit by Josua S. Cabrera. The exhibit runs from April 5 to 25 on the second floor of the undergraduate building in the University of the Philippines Cebu. The exhibit is curated by Jay Nathan Jore and is open to the public.

The exhibit will feature his works from his illustrated social commentary entitled “Latagaw” (Wanderer). His works feature two dogs, Red and Blue, and a rat named Ben. The characters are placed in various situations that exemplify different social issues. Each dialogue is crafted to suit the visual illustrations of the works’ scene. The exhibit also features other illustrated and literary works from 12 of his previous exhibits.

Born on Oct. 10, 1974 in Libertad, Butuan City, Cabrera is a cartoonist for SunStar and Superbalita Cebu. He has exhibited in both local and international art galleries, such as those in Cebu, Manila, Singapore and Paris.

The opening reception will be at 7 p.m. on April 5 at the Jose T. Joya Gallery. (PR)
