PERSONNEL of the Baguio City Fire Department are set to conduct a thorough investigation after a fire almost gutted a Tiongsan Bazaar in Magsaysay Avenue.

Senior Fire Officer 2 Camilo Balancio Jr., said as of 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, firefighters are still putting out the fire inside the establishment.

“As of the moment, we could not still determine the origin of the fire. The cause of the fire will be determined after our investigation,” said Balancio.

The City Fire Department received the call at 8:58 a.m. and immediately responded with no injuries reported as all the workers of the establishment were safely led out of the building.

“The alarm status was raised to third alarm. In declaring an alarm status, it is based on the number of fire trucks that responded to the incident,” Balancio added. (Jonathan Llanes)
