Minor, 6 others nabbed for shabu

POLICEMEN in Negros Occidental arrested seven persons, including a minor, in separate buy-bust operations from April 1 to 2.

In Bacolod City, Manny Villaluna, 55, of Barangay Handumanan, was arrested in Barangay 30 on April 2 after police seized from him four sachets of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) worth P120,000, the P500 marked money, and P2,200 in cash. He was detained at Police Station 6.

Also arrested in the city last Tuesday, April 2, was Rene Tomias, 29, of Barangay 2, a newly identified personality who allegedly yielded 11 sachets of suspected shabu weighing five grams and worth P50,000, the P500 marked money, and a coin purse. He was detained at Police Station 2.

In Salvador Benedicto town, Elezandro Edem, 27, of Barangay Banago, Bacolod City, was arrested in Barangay Bunga two days ago, which resulted in the recovery of three sachets of suspected shabu, drug paraphernalia, and P600 in cash, including the marked money.

In Cadiz City, Andy Sendol, 35, of Barangay Cabahug, was arrested in the said village on the same day after police confiscated from him four sachets of suspected shabu, drug paraphernalia, and the P500 marked money.

In San Carlos City, Renato Destura, 36, of Barangay 5; Junrey Pat, 20, of Barangay Rizal; and a 17-year old boy whose name was withheld, were arrested in Barangay 6 on April 1 for alleged sale and illegal possession of dangerous drugs.

Police seized from them seven sachets of suspected shabu worth P12,000, drug paraphernalia, three cellular phones, and P600 in cash, including the marked money.

The minor was turned over to the Department of Social Welfare and Development for proper custody. (GYM)
