2 men abducted in Nuvali hotel

TWO men, including a former anti-crime unit head of Tanauan, Batangas, were abducted from a hotel in Nuvali in Sta. Rosa, Laguna on Wednesday evening, April 3.

According to a report reaching Camp Crame, abducted were Ricky Atienza and Allan Lumbres Fajardo, Tanauan’s anti-crime unit head during the time of slain Mayor Antonio Halili.

The two were forcibly taken by unidentified men around 7:50 p.m. while they were having dinner inside Mistro restaurant in Seda hotel.

Police said the two were loaded into a white van.

Laguna police chief Colonel Eleazar Matta said based on initial investigation, the abductors introduced themselves as policemen and served a fake arrest warrant against Atienza and Fajardo.

He said the two had been receiving death threats, which were earlier reported to the police.

Matta said operations are ongoing to determine the victims' whereabouts. (SunStar Philippines)
