SUMMER is here and that means more free time to go on vacation and do whatever. More than jetting off to a new destination, this also gives people (especially the kids) to do things they like to do or try out for the first time.
Joining interactive activities, like workshops, is another way to have fun while developing new skills and meeting new friends.
With this in mind, we’ve rounded up some of the workshops of the modeling variety, just in time for that summer vacation.
ADmire modelling workshop and Stylissimo Fashion Modeling Workshop

Classes start on April 12. Open to all, ranging from four to 44 years old, these workshops are headed by fashion designer and head mentor Dexter Alazas. Those enrolled will get to learn everything there is to know about modeling from basic runway walking and projection down to portfolio making and career coaching. Together with Alazas are the different mentors sharing their expertise in their fields: Photography by Ed Lawrence Durano, Jed Aries Yu and Don Maex Dondon; Acting sessions by Sara Enclona-Henderson of 2TinCans Philippines; Styling by David Wilde X; and Runway Modeling mentorship by Beatrice Luigi Gomez. The culminating event will take place on May 25 to 31.
SELFi Modelling Bootcamp 2019

This month-long workshop is open for kids, teens as well as moms. Apart from learning the tricks of the trade when it comes to modeling, those enrolled will also get to learn about dancing, hosting and acting. For the moms, they’ll get to dance to the beat as it includes free zumba sessions. SELFi’s very own Blinky De Leon will be teaching the ropes on hosting. Joining her on the list of mentors includes MAC (Models’ Association of Cebu) who will focus on Modeling; Fashion Styling by Madison Vilar, in-house stylist of Forever 21; makeup artists Little Bvck for Makeup Application; and Dancing by Marydelle Cascabel of Synergy Dance Crew. The workshop will begin on April 30, with the culminating show to take place on the first week of June at SM Seaside City Cebu.
Stacy’s Modeling Workshop Season 9

This workshop is open for ages five to 30 years old and will take place from April 7 until the culminating activity set to happen on May 24 at the Events Center of SM City Cebu. Enrollees will get to learn not only Modeling (from Editorial, Commercial and Runway) but also Personality Development, Power Styling and Portfolio Making. There are also advanced courses like Basic and Advanced Pageantry. Guiding the students are mentors Bb. Cebu 2018 Steffi Rose Aberasturi (commercial modeling), Mia Salisbury (makeup), Matt Pingkian (fashion photography), Josei Ouano Cuizon (power styling) and Marva Brida Regner (personality development).
