Espina: St. Ezekiel’s healing spirituality

THE University of San Jose-Recoletos Dramatics and Cultural Ensemble (USJ-R DCE) Amparito L. Lhuillier scholars spent its initial Lenten religious musicale, “St. Ezekiel: Healing Spirituality,” at the Sisters of Mary-Girlstown. Through the efforts of Sr. Emelan and Sr. Nory, the play was witnessed by some 2,500 students, faculty and guests. For us, it was more than learning something; it was a devotion to the first Recoleto saint, whose healing power I had experienced many times.

In July, the play will be staged in USJ-R to commemorate the canonization of St. Ezekiel. Meanwhile, we are spreading the spirituality and devotion of St. Ezekiel to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Virgen del Rosario. Come Feb. 24 at the Ayala Center, a preview of St. Ezekiel will be shown.
