Gonzales leads unveiling of DHVSU ‘wall of excellence’

BACOLOR Third District Representative Aurelio “Dong” Gonzales, Jr. led the unveiling of the “wall of excellence” at the Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU) over the weekend.

The unveiling was led by Gonzales and DHVSU officials at the state university auditorium attended by school officials, board and licensure passers and their parents.

The wall of excellence is a space at the left side of the main entrance of the auditorium that showcases the names of licensure and board passers of the university from 2002 to present.

The DHVSU has produced some 22 graduates who made it to the top 10 rankings in licensure exams.

Gonzales said that the project aims to memorialize the achievements of students and to encourage the culture of achievement and excellence. The latest project is part of the state university’s brand prep-up.

“I believe that Don Honorio Ventura State University honors, not the people whose names appear in this wall, but rather the culture of excellence that they represent. Ang wall of excellence na ito ay hindi lamang pagpupugay sa mga mag-aaral na nagdala ng karangalan sa unibersidad na ito. Ito ay pagdakila sa kultura ng kagalingan at taos pusong pagpupunyagi na naihulma sa kanilang kaisipan at pagkatao ng unibersidad ito (this is not just not to fete the students who brought honor to the university but a recognition of the culture of perseverance and dedication inculcated by the university),” Gonzales said.

Gonzales added that Don Honorio Ventura State University has shown that it is the school for the best and the brightest through the various achievements of its students in various licensure examinations.
