Gasataya thanks Marañon for clarifying issue

BACOLOD City Rep. Greg Gasataya expressed his thanks to Negros Occidental Gov. Alfredo Marañon Jr. for clarifying that he did not issue any statement alleging that he has a P10 million rest house in Bago City.

“The rival camp must be in a state of panic or maybe high on some substance that they are very productive in imagining things. I was told that if you are high, a mere lizard becomes an oversized crocodile. Kidding aside, they must also show respect to the good governor. It is a crime to attribute to someone statements he did not issue at all,”

Gasataya said as he vehemently denied his ownership of the alleged rest house in Barangay Mailum, Bago City.

It was also clarified by the governor that when he attended the rally of the other camp, he endorsed the candidacy only of mayoralty bet Jocelle Batapa-Sigue, no one else.

Sun Tzu is a great Chinese philosopher, but a netizen with that account name posted on social media that Marañon reportedly alleged that Gasataya has a multi-million vacation home.

Netizens, said Gasataya, must be vigilant and always on the lookout for troll accounts so that they will not be misled by fake news these online handles spread.

Like the governor, the incumbent solon called on his technology-savvy supporters to report to Facebook and administrators of other social media platforms the innuendos, lies, half-truths and black propaganda materials being posted by fake account holders.

He also reiterated that he will not initiate legal action against the “fake” Sun Tzu since people in the media industry already know the real identity of the troll account holder. (PR)
