Kris Aquino confined until Monday

QUEEN of All Media Kris Aquino was advised to stay in the hospital for three days after she slipped in the shower that led to a cerebral and labyrinthine concussion.

It was Friday, February 19, 2010, when Kris posted an entry in her Twitter account that she lost her balance and slipped in the shower.

“My gosh! Super exhaustion and my lack of balance while scrubbing my legs, I slipped in the shower. Super banged my head around 1:30 a.m.”

It was followed by several tweets saying that she managed to stay awake until 3 a.m. the same day to further monitor her condition.

“...So stayed up till 3 a.m. because not supposed to sleep after a bad untog! I'm still dizzy today.”

“Our family doc – Dr. Aye Nuguid will check on me tonight. Still feeling dizzy. He wants to be sure I don't have a concussion."

In her interview with the "Buzz," Kris said she was rushed to the hospital as she continues to feel her surrounding was spinning.

She further updated everyone with the result of the tests she underwent and posted it again in Twitter.

“Last tweet till I'm better. Forcing myself to update you all. I suffered a concussion. Cerebral and inner ear. Must've fallen that hard."

“Had CT scan. My BP shot up to 180/100. Confined next three nights. Good night. Will rest, promise."

She added during the interview that their family doctor is still monitoring her health and she is scheduled to undergo to one more test before she can go home.

Kris said she will be staying in Makati Medical Center until Monday and hopefully will be able to go back to work on Wednesday.

With this incident, Kris said it maybe a sign for her to take things slow especially that she's doing four shows seven days a week.

She was also advised to eat the proper food and get enough rest needed.
