I JUST arrived in this beautiful city two days ago. I am relocating here to handle this daily newspaper. What you have in your hand is the first issue of Sunstar Bacolod with me as the new editor in chief. Prior to this I was also chief of Sunstar Cagayan de Oro and a consultant on organizational development, governance and leadership. I may be new to this city but I am not new in media and surely not foreign to this place as my family name originally comes from this province.
With my entry, changes are in order. We now have a lot of things on the pipeline. You can expect a bolder paper that can fire up your day and hopefully empower you in whatever endeavor you are in.
We will be introducing new columns and new contributors in the coming days. We will be strategic with our segments in this paper to give you just the information you need. We are also inviting writers, bloggers, and professionals in this locality who want to speak their minds and share with our readers their stories and their take on pressing social issues or even on anything worth publishing.
