Cops nab 6 suspected drug personalities in Misamis

AT LEAST six suspected drug personalities were arrested in separate anti-drug operations in four towns of Misamis Oriental last week.

Police anti-illegal drug operatives launched the operations in the municipalities of Villanueva and Opol and cities of Gingoog and El Salvador.

Arrested during these drug busts were Jhon Carlo Nokom, 21, resident of Looc, Villanueva; Ritchie Rayon, 31, of Molugan, El Salvador City; and Ando Adran, 21, resident of Barangay 19, Gingoog City.

Three suspected drug dependents, meanwhile, were arrested after police caught them in the act of having a pot session in Barra, Opol.

They were identified as Retchie Taganna, 32; Roger Yugto, 42; and Wilbert Abantao, 32.

Investigators said the three suspected drug peddlers arrested during the drug busts were on the drug list of the provincial police office.

Seized from their possession were sachets of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) and other pieces of evidence, which have been brought to the crime laboratory for examination.

Police also confiscated suspected shabu and drug paraphernalia from the three other individuals caught in a pot session.

All suspects are now detained and facing drug charges.

Police Colonel Rolando Destura, Misamis Oriental provincial police director, lauded his men for successfully carrying out the government's drug war.
