WITH its recent academic achievements, Davao Doctors College (DDC) cements its standing as a reputable educational institution providing quality education in Davao City.

Six more students from DDC joined the league of board exam topnotchers for the academic year 2018-2019.

DDC president Prof. Miguel Soledad said it is quite a productive year for the school and they hope to maintain this momentum for the coming years.

“We are very happy about having managed to sustain our board performance,” he shared, adding DDC has been producing topnotchers in different professions for the past 23 years.

For this school year, DDC has 9th placer in Occupational Therapy Licensure Exam; 2nd and 10th placers in Radiologic Technology Licensure Exam; and 4th, 6th, and 10th placers in Doctor of Optometry Licensure Exam.

Considering Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Technology as its present banner program, Soledad shared that the Commission on Higher Education approved its new graduate school program – Masters of Science in Radiologic Technology.

The school plans to open it this July, making DDC the first to offer such in Mindanao.

“We have long been working on this because we have a good track record with RadTech. We were twice recognized by PRC as top performing school in Radiologic Technology and we are always in top 3,” he said.

DDC is also offering Master of Arts in Nursing.

Next school year, Soledad said they are expecting more nursing student enrollees, a direction the school welcomes.

Committed to provide nothing but quality services, DDC seeks to retain its accreditation status in its various programs.

Its Nursing Program has been re-accredited for level 4 by the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (Pacucoa). On the other hand, the Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management has also been re-accredited for level 2, while its MA in Nursing and Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy has been admitted as candidate for accreditation.

The school has also secured Level 1 accreditation for BS Physical Therapy, BS Psychology, and Doctor of Optometry; and Level 3 for BS Biology and BS Radiologic Technology.

Apart from the abovementioned programs, DDC also offers Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science; Bachelor of Science in Biology; Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship; Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy; Bachelor of Science in Psychology; Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management; and Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.

At present, DDC has some 4,000 to 5,000 students, approximately half of them are senior high school. DDC is currently accepting early enrollees for incoming Grade 11 and College Freshmen.
