Showcasing local talents at Negros Fashion Fest

AS WE are in the age of visuals, people nowadays easily spot good taste in a person’s choice of clothing, bags, make-up, perfumes, and cars, among others.

If you are not using branded ones, then sorry, you’re out of their topic.

Dresses, make-up and hairdos certainly enhance a person’s physical appearance.

Each unique and natural beauty, matched with the right choice of clothing and accessories will deliver elegance and good taste which become easily noticeable.

Beauty becomes pleasurable when the holder shows confidence in the way she wears dresses, make-up and most importantly, a sweet smile.

Negros fashion fest, in partnership with Robinsons Place Bacolod & DA works, gave opportunity to a hundred of local beauties to showcase their potential to become future fashion show models.

Dwight Morana, Jr., founder and director of the Negros Fashion Fest, said it’s their 3rd year now and they held the event at the Atrium of Robinsons Place Bacolod on April 7.

It continues to feature new and promising designers and couture shops in Bacolod City and Negros Occidental.

Last April 7, they held the Series 1, where they featured six designers of bridal and couture shops namely Thamachat by Blesilda Gallenero, Modish by Ledz Rosario, Gods masterpiece vivo by Vida Hays, Aj handpainted Things by Arlene Jalandoni (bag designer),

HTM Bridals by Charino Chavez and Gowns to go by Kathlen Anne Dres.

Almost 100 pieces of ball gowns, cocktail dresses and bridals were showcased and almost 50 models paraded on ramp.

The Series 2 will be on June, which will feature the designs of the Association of Negros Designers and other Bacolod and Iloilo designers.

He said the Nff new Models include Amely Sebuha, Vanessa Sebuha, Daniella Louise, Joeryn Gonzalodo, Bretney Esman, Rigil lucibar, kyoko Kitagawa, Jorgeia Bauden, Jennifer Joaquin and Joy Epal.

The Nff pioneer models were Andrea Perdeguin, Iya Padecio, Criselle Villaranda, Vina Marie Peña, Claire Porras, Shane Pia, Rose Ann Tana, Abigail Soriano, Kate Escultura, Cheyenne Fransz, Ella Mae Mercado, Masskara festival queen 2018.

Morana said he will be inspired to do more for the local talents.

“I’m happy to see them hone their modelling skills and at the same time giving our local designers the avenue to also showcase their line of clothing,” Morana said.
