20 nabbed, over P300K worth of drugs seized

POLICEMEN in Negros Occidental and Bacolod City seized an estimated P357,000 worth of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) in separate buy-bust operations in the past five days.

In Bacolod City, Jake Miro, Ian Matus, Arnel Valera, Anjun Marce Burgos, and Jhon Rey Jaming were arrested at Barangay 7 for the confiscation of 12 sachets of suspected shabu weighing 13 grams worth P156,000, the P200 marked money, an improvised tooter, a .38 caliber revolver, and five live ammunition.

All five suspects are detained at Police Station 2 while their companion, Ramon Isidro Jr. managed to escape.

Also arrested in the city on the same day were Jay-ar Paraiso, 34, and wife Maricel, 37, both residents of Barangay 27.

Police seized from them eight sachets of suspected shabu, the P1,000 marked money, a .38 caliber revolver, and a coin purse. Both suspects are detained at Police Station 4.

Personnel of Police Station 3 also conducted a drug bust at Barangay 2 which led in the apprehension of May Therese Espartero, 36, of the said village, a newly-identified drug personality; and Eric John Tam, 29, of Barangay Aijis.

Police seized from both suspects four sachets of suspected shabu, the P500 marked money, and coin purse. The two suspects are detained at Police Station 3.

Arrested at Barangay 8 were Jerom Ballesteros, 19, of Barangay Concepcion, Talisay City, and Neil Agsam, 49, of Barangay 8, Bacolod City after they allegedly yielded four sachets of suspected shabu, the P200 marked money, and a coin purse.

In Sagay City, Rodney Espinosa, 50, of Barangay Tadlong was arrested in the said village after he allegedly yielded seven sachets of suspected shabu worth P3,500, the P500 marked money, and a motorcycle.

On April 8, John Kevin Balayo, 20, of Barangay 5 was arrested at Barangay E. Lopez after he allegedly yielded five sachets of suspected shabu weighing three grams worth P45,000, an improvised tooter, P31 in cash, the P500 marked money, P4,000 boodle money, and a wallet. He is under the target list of Silay City Police Station.

On April 7, 30-year-old Rocky Lou Seballos was arrested at Barangay 3 after police recovered from him five sachets of suspected shabu weighing two grams worth P24,000, the P200 marked money, drug paraphernalia, and P6,800 in cash. He is detained at Police Station 2.

Arrested last Saturday, April 6, at Barangay Vista Alegre, this city were Richard Abad, John Eric Plazuela, Wilmer Dadal, and a minor, who is identified as a newly-identified drug personality.

Police confiscated from them eight sachets of suspected shabu worth P85,000, the P300 marked money, and drug paraphernalia. All three suspects are detained at Police Station 7 while the minor was placed under the custody of the Social Development Center.

Also arrested over the weekend at Barangay Punta Taytay, Bacolod City, was Louie Paez, which resulted to the recovery of three sachets of suspected shabu worth P22,000, an improvised tooter, coin purse, and the P500 marked money. He is detained at Police Station 9.

In Himamaylan City, Renato Taleon Jr., 31, of Barangay Sara-et, was arrested in the said village after he allegedly yielded seven sachets of suspected shabu worth P25,000, drug paraphernalia, cellular phone, pouch, and the P1,000 marked money.
