BASKETBALL enthusiasts will face off in Iloilo City’s "Kabarkada Kabarangay" Tournament starting April 22.
The inter-district sports endeavor aims to promote camaraderie among players aged 25 years old and below and keep the youth away from the threats of illegal drugs.
“A lot of barangays have already pledged to join the tournament. The top two teams to win in each of seven districts will compete with each other. This is an open category and there will be no restrictions whether you are a varsity player or not,” City Sports Division officer-in-charge Moises Salomon Jr. said.
The tournament is part of the Iloilo City Government’s program to promote sports in the barangays and anti-illegal drugs campaign. (PR)
