ONE of the most life-changing moments that can happen to people comes on the day they say their “I dos” to the ones they love, witnessed by their nearest and dearest. That day calls for champagne, flowers, food—everything that makes for a beautiful wedding ceremony worth remembering.

Prized as one of Cebu City’s favored venue destinations, Oakridge Business Park gathered the experts of the wedding industry with its first-ever bridal fair titled “Oakridge Bride Box 2019.” Held at the Oakridge Pavilion from March 22 to 23, the two-day affair showcased a well-curated selection of talents catering to every bridal essential from hair and makeup, photography, videography, wedding planners, fashion designers, and décor and giveaway suppliers.

Capping off the bridal fair was the “I Do” fashion show held on the second day. The Oakridge Pavilion was arranged like a wedding venue that was the stuff of dreams, from the drapery of floral arrangements to the musical renditions that accompanied the models who walked the runway clad in designs by notable fashion designers: Cary Santiago, Protacio, Dino Lloren, Ren Manabat, Mel Maria, Edwin Ao, Mike Yapching, Oj Hofer, Jun Escario, Philipp Tampus, Marichu Tan-Geson and Philip Rodriguez. Some of the models displayed stunning accessories by Shandar, DiaGold, and a special bouquet by Agel Tio.

“Oakridge Bride Box 2019” was conceptualized in the hopes of inspiring future brides and grooms see the possibilities in creating the wedding of their dreams.

Oakridge Realty Development Corp. chief executive officer Edmun H. Liu shared that it was also their intention to provide a well-curated bridal fair where each wedding essential was well represented without making it too overwhelming to the event goers.

“I think, based on the feedback we’ve been getting the past few days, that was achieved,” he said, adding that more than anything, the success of the bridal fair stemmed from the people behind it along with their unyielding belief that love will always win.

“We still believe in love. We still believe, despite all that’s happening in the world—love still prevails.”
