Globe myBusiness holds learning sessions for supply chain industry

DIGITAL advances are currently putting pressure on traditional supply chain models, thus, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) operating in this industry are now looking at technology to remain relevant.

In line with this, Globe myBusiness, the SME arm of Globe Telecom, is focusing on manufacturing, logistics, wholesale, and retail business as it holds a series of learning sessions all over the country in support of the Department of Trade and Industry’s Go Lokal! Program campaign to promote MSMEs.

“The supply chain needs to evolve in the face of rapid innovation. They need to employ more sophisticated resource planning to enable better forecasting and management, perform cross-functional collaboration, support complex networks, among others,” said Anne David, Globe myBusiness Supply Chain Marketing head.

“We want SMEs to grow and succeed, that is why we continue to hold learning sessions to help them make this transition to digitalization as painless as possible,” said David.

This month, Globe myBusiness brings industry experts to Tacloban City. The one-day event with the theme “Create. The Future of Local Businesses” is presented by Globe myBusiness Academy, which provides existing and aspiring entrepreneurs access to learning sessions, digital solutions’ experiential demos, free business consultations and exclusive offers to help them stay on top of their game.

The event is in partnership with the City of Tacloban Local Government Unit, DTI Negosyo Center, Philippine Retailers Association, Leyte Chamber of Commerce, Manila Workshops, Taxumo, Lazada, Samsung, and GCash.

Globe myBusiness Academy also invited local merchants in Tacloban to highlight their products via demo and selling.

Leading the panel of experts is motivational speaker Chinkee Tan (Innovations for Business Growth and Success). Joining him are Paco Magsaysay, CEO, Carmen's Best Ice Cream (Carmen's Best Business Success Story), Ginger Arboleda, CEO, Manila Workshops (Business 101), Faith Salazar, Digital Marketing Manager, Globe myBusiness (Digital Marketing), Eugene Arboleda, CEO, Taxumo (How to Build a Website), and Alvin Ching, Lazada VP, Seller Engagement (E-commerce in today's business).
