I FONDLY call him Kuya Marcial, the fourth among the seven children of Atty. Miguel Cawi Sr. and Mrs. Francisca Mercimada Pitag Cawi of Baguio and Tabuk City, Kalinga.

Kuya Marcial works as a jail officer in Laguna where he met the love of his life Flordeliza Diana Cabriga (ate Liezl) who works as a criminal clerk at the Regional Trial Court. Ate Liezel is the eldest among two children of Mr. Celso Cabriga (+) and Mrs. Fidela Gonzales Cabriga.

A blossoming friendship started four years ago and into a romantic relationship with a birth of a son, Matt Drew. A civil wedding earlier in their relationship and later a modern traditional Cordilleran Wedding held just recently sealed this everlasting love. I was happy to witness this lifetime commitment last April 5 at Tabuk, Kalinga.

I appreciate Ate Liezl, as she is a hands-on mom and wife. Truly a reason why my kuya fell in love with her. Kuya Marcial is admired because he is a caring and respectful son-in-law. Kuya is able to bring out bursts of laughter from his wife. He also helps with house chores and cooks good food. He is also a good provider.

Family bonding is eating out and going on adventures together. Both dream of having more children. They always pray for good health and for a strong and happy family.

To my kuya, I am so proud of all your accomplishments! Thank you for being the sweet yet protective elder brother that you are. Have a blessed married life. I am just a message away when you need a sister. I may not have the Igorot blood running through my veins, but having your family as my extended family makes me proud to be one! Love you and your family always! God bless!
