Lapu-Lapu City College holds 1st job fair

AROUND 120 students, including alumni, of the Lapu-Lapu City College (LLCC) benefited from its first ever job fair on Friday, April 5.

LLCC president Dr. Eduardo Ompad said the activity, which was held at the campus’s function hall, would help students find a job.

The participating business process outsourcing (BPO) companies were QQ English, Sykes Asia Inc., Quest Hotel, The Results Companies, Winkey Online English Academy Inc., Kitchen Care Consultancy Phils Inc., Extramile Manpower Services and Dranix Distributors Inc.

These companies were looking for applicants who could serve as customer service representatives, hotel representatives and language teachers.

School faculty and administrators hoped that the applicants would soon be employed by any of the participating BPO companies.

“It is not only for providing them the quality education but, we think that it is the responsibility of the institution that as our graduates will leave the portals of our alma mater, we will be able to make sure that we will be able to guide them as they take their first step toward achieving their dream and the careers that they would like to pursue after graduation,” Ompad said.
