TWO people were killed in a head-on collision between motorcycle and a Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) in the province of Zamboanga Sibugay, the police reported Sunday, April 14.
Police Major Helen Galvez, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, identified the fatalities as Diansan Tanghal, 30 and Domenic Morales, 18.
Galvez said the incident happened around 9:45 p.m., Saturday, at Sitio Gantason in the village of Nazareth, Kabasalan, Zamboanga Sibugay.
Galvez said Tanghal and Morales were riding tandem on a motorcycle traveling to the village of Monching, Siay town when they collided head-on with the SUV driven by Ramon Koch Lacsamana, Jr, 62, who was traveling on opposite direction and on the way to the town of Kabasalan, Zamboanga Sibugay.
She said they collided head-on as investigation showed the motorcycle encroached the lane of the SUV while traveling on opposite direction.
She said Tanghal and Morales were rushed but failed to reached alive the hospital. (SunStar Philippines)
