AS ONE of the advocacies of the Landscape Photographers of Davao to inspire people by a landscape picture, the group once again launched their photo exhibit at Abreeza Mall wherein thousands of Davaoeños were entertained and enjoyed viewing the beautiful photos displayed by exhibitors recently.

The exhibitors include Wilson Etrata, Arch. Jasper Resari, Jerry De Vera, Girlie Sevilla, Dr. Rodrigo T. Layug, Dr. Glenn Pono, Gary Mahipus, Alberto Resurreccion, Engr. Ledon Jasper Samoranos, Arch. Daryl Padua, and Russel Jan Quisido.

Gracing the event was Department of Tourism regional director Tanya Rabat-Tan last February 17 at 4 p.m. The exhibit, which lasted until March 6 this year, was also attended by Jojie Alcantara and Rhonson Ng.

The event with the theme “Landscape is Love” was open to all visitors astonishing quality and value of the masterpieces of all exhibitors who chose the photos as best of their bests.

During the exhibit, countless visitors with their cellular phones took pictures, selfies, and groupies to capture the work of the exhibitors.

They consider the exhibit as a great moment for education and social inclusion of all visitors who were given the chance to win Starbucks Gift Certificate worth P1,000.00 and a free slot in their upcoming workshop.

The group, which was founded in 2011 by enthusiasts who share the same passion and love for landscape photography, conducted workshops in different schools in the city facilitated by Nikon Ambassador Raymond Cruz last December 2018.

Aside from workshops, they held exhibits in malls (SM and Abreeza) featuring the photos taken from different places.

“Landscape is Love is all about the passion and love for the genre that we most love, landscape photography. Every image has a story, and every picture has a vision which we hope will also provide inspiration to the viewers,” the group said in a statement.

Asked whether they are inspired or not, all visitors affirmed the hopes of the organizers by saying, “Yes, we are. And we are also hoping to witness another exhibit next year.”
