Big time ‘drug pusher’ nabbed

POLICE and agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) have arrested a suspected big time drug pusher in a drug bust Sunday, April 14, in Zamboanga del Norte.

Jose Ian Pulido, 27, who also use the aliases Travis and Ian, was arrested around 3 p.m. Sunday in the village of Miputak, Dipolog City, the capital of Zamboanga del Norte.

Police Major Helen Galvez, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, said Pulido is the “Top 6” drug personality on the PDEA target list and “Top 4” on the Zamboanga del Norte Provincial Police Office–Intelligence Branch target list.

She said Pulido was caught in possession of some P4,000 worth of suspected shabu, or methamphetamine hydrochloride, packed in four heat-sealed plastic sachets, P1,000 marked money consisting of two P500 bills, and personal belongings.

The suspect is detained while appropriate charges are being prepared against him.
