BCPO raises full alert status for Holy Week

THE Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) is on full alert status since April 13 in time for the observance of the Lenten season this week.

Police Major Ariel Pico, public information officer of BCPO, said they will set up police assistance desks (Pads) at public transport terminals, churches, tourist destinations, and other areas of convergence in the city to secure the safety of the people.

There is also deployment of policemen in streets to augment the force multipliers assigned as members of Bantay Dalan, he added.

Pico said four personnel will man the Pads until April 21.

He said there is also police presence in shopping malls, where there is influx of people during the said occasion.

The security measures are in place now for the Holy Week, he added.

We will ensure peace and order during the holy occasion, he said.

The city police force also advised the public to always check their houses before leaving for vacation to prevent crimes or robbery incidents. (GYM)
