MISAMIS Oriental Provincial Board Member Gerardo Sabal is reminding colleagues in the Provincial Board (PB) to be diligent in attending sessions so legislative measures from the different towns and cities can be swiftly acted and addressed.

Sabal said since the election period began, there have been times that the legislative body has not been able to act on requests from the different local governments because of lack of quorum.

He said, the PB is scheduled to convene every Monday morning under the house rules.

"Wala may bikil ang amo lang kay among nasabutan under our house rules that every Monday we will have our regular session kay naay legislative measures nga importante," Sabal said.

"Maulaw ta og malooy aning mga lungsod nga sige of follow-up sa ilang mga requests ug review of ordinances and resolutions kay wala malihok kay wala kami quorum," he added.

The PB was able to hold session on Monday, April 15, after the legislative body constituted a quorum with eight members present. It was presided by board member Wayne Militante.

Vice-Governor Joey Pelaez, Jigjag Pelaez, Mercy Grace Acain, Nancy Madjos, and Vicente Pelaez are on official business while Boris Actub was absent.

"Since pagsugod sa election period naay times nga wala mi ka session. It’s nothing personal maulaw lang ko nga mabinbin ang mga requests sa mga LGUs kay dugay na-aksyonan," Sabal said.

"I'm not referring to anybody, I'm referring to the constituting of the quorum. Tinuod man nga campaign period pero nasabutan na kana namo nga kada buntag sa Lunes ang session," he added.
