Vice governor advises kidney patient to pray for healing

PAMPANGA Vice Governor Dennis "Delta" Pineda has advised a kidney failure patient who is undergoing a twice-a-week hemodialysis treatment to pray for God's blessing and healing.

During a campaign sortie in Santa Lucia Resettlent in nearby Magalang town, Pineda, who is running for Pampanga governor, told Ma. Kristina Dizon to pursue a kidney transplant despite the high cost of the surgery.

The vice governor said that transplant is better than hemodialysis which is just for maintenance.

Dizon, however, lamented that she cannot afford the cost of the surgical procedure.

Pineda urged Dizon to search for a kidney donor and he will assist in funding the transplant.

He said the provincial government, under the leadership of Governor Lilia Pineda, provides assistance to indigent patients.

Pineda also vowed to assist Dizon in terms of maintenance medicines she is using at present.

During the meeting in said village, Pineda was accompanied by Board Members Cherry Manalo and Rosve Henson, and reelectionists Magalang Mayor Malu Lacson and Vice Mayor Norman Lacson. (Reynaldo G. Navales)
