Pagadian's 5th ‘most wanted’ nabbed in Bacolod

THE fifth most wanted person in Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur was arrested for large scale estafa at Barangay 5, Bacolod City Sunday night, April 14.

Personnel of Police Station 7 led by Police Major Sherlock Gabana in coordination with Pagadian City Police Station, and Dapitan City Police Station, served eight arrest warrants against Lusile Adellene Salacut, 25, a native of Pagadian City.

The arrest warrants for estafa were issued by Judge Dennis Vicoy of Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 20, and Judge Joel Vercide of Municipal Trial Court in Cities (MTCC) Branch 1, both in Pagadian City, and Judge Gregorio Dela Peña III of RTC Branch 12 in Zamboanga City. The total amount of bailbond for her provisional liberty is P461,000.

Police Major Sherlock Gabana, head of Police Station 7, said eight out of 28 arrest warrants were served against Salacut during her apprehension.

She’s been hiding at an apartment in the city for more than a month. We conducted surveillance for three days until the arrest took effect, Gabana said.

The suspect is temporarily placed under the custody of Police Station 7 while waiting for authorities from Pagadian City to transport her to her hometown.

Gabana said Salacut also allegedly victimized more than 20 individuals in Bacolod and neighboring cities in Negros Occidental.

She would usually encouraged her victims to invest P10,000 to a business like catering services, restaurant, or even in selling of jewelries, Gabana said.

Some victims had already reported at Police Stations 1, 6 and 7.

Her victims in the province are now preparing to file a case against her, Gabana said. (GYM)
