ALAN Carvajal was ready to settle down and make a lifetime commitment when he and Penny Navarro crossed paths. She, on the other hand, was waiting for true love to come along. It must have been written in the stars because they met at the right time. Both move in the travel sector: He, as big boss of Travelways and she, as a mainstay of Galileo, one of the world’s largest providers of global distribution system services for the travel industry.

What better time to start a new life together than on the first month of the year? Alan and Penny said their vows before Fr. Joseph Granada, OAR, on Jan. 23 at the Sacred Heart Parish Church with the blessings of their respective parents, Lourdes vda. de Carvajal, and Jose and Regina Navarro.
Reception was a cocktail-dinner affair at The Marquee of Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort & Spa. A Facebooth was set up at the foyer where the guests took turns having their fotos taken.
Copies were given then and there with a photo of Alan and Penny superimposed on the left hand side—a beautiful and unique wedding give-away.
