DAVAO City’s candidate Brigitte Flor Mercene was the hands-down winner of this year’s Search for Mutya ng Prisaa 11 Meet held at the Pedro San Jose gym, University of Mindanao (UM) Tagum College over the weekend.
The 19-year-old freshman taking up Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Technology at Davao Doctors College wowed the crowd and judges with her beauty, grace, wit and composure.
Mercene, in an interview with SunStar Davao via Facebook, said that she’s glad to be able to represent the region to the national competition next month, which Davao City will be hosting.
“It is a privilege for me that our institution trust me to represent our school and it’s more than an experience because I was able to meet new friends, test my skill and discover my lapses so I can improve it for the national competition,” she said.
In contests that she joins, this Dabawenya beauty from Mintal said that she always expects the unexpected.
She added, “It helps me a lot so I would not be disappointed in myself, but of course, I still set a standard for myself so I can evaluate it after the competition and become better.”
