PRO-Central Luzon holds ‘Way of the Cross’

AS PART of Central Luzon police force’s observance of Holy Week, Police Regional Office 3 held its Way of the Cross during the traditional “Stations of the Cross” at Camp Capt. Julian Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga.

The “Stations of the Cross” is a re-enactment of the final hours of Jesus before the Crucifixion and one of the most popular devotions for the Catholics.

From the 1st Station to the 14th Station, officers and personnel of the regional headquarters led by Police Brig. Gen Joel Napoleon Coronel meditatively read and reflected the events before the Crucifixion of Jesus from one station to another.

Meanwhile, Police Lt. Col. Randell Cinches, PRO-Central Luzon chaplain, said this year’s prayer intentions and reflections are for the upkeep of peace and order in the region and the health and safety of both PRO-Central Luzon personnel and their families.

PRO-Central Luzon uniformed and non-uniformed personnel as well as civilians also participated in said event.

Also, on Maundy Thursday, a Lenten vigil was conducted by the different police units from 7 p.m. to 12 midnight at the Our Mother of Perpetual Help Chapel in Camp Olivas.

Although PRO-Central Luzon is one with the public in the observance of Lenten Season, “Ligtas Sumvac 2019” is strictly implemented until the third week of June. (PR)
