RHONVEX Capuloy trades leathers with Mel Ando in a small boxing show promoted by Lorenzo Chao-Sy Sunday, April 21, at the Medellin Dockside in the northern Cebu town of Medellin.
The 22-year-old Capuloy is on a three-fight winning streak and is coming off a second round stoppage of Mark Rotilles just last Feb. 23.
Ando, on the other hand, hasn’t had much luck in his career that started in 2017. He has been very inconsistent, winning his only fight against Reyce Cutillas last year. The 19-year-old Mandaue City native is fresh from a second round stoppage in the hands of Carlo Bacaro.
Capuloy is 4-1 with three knockouts, while Ando is 1-3.
In the undercard, Kervent Aresco (0-2) takes on newcomer Jerry Ambrad, Wilbert Rota (0-6) looks for his first victory against rookie Elmer Naason and Cedie Noblefranca (0-4) faces off with Rolly Dorong (1-1). EKA
