PROVINCIAL Board Member David Lacson assured a friendly fight between him and his “kumpare” re-electionist Mayor Marvin Malacon in E.B. Magalona.

“After the election the friendship will be there. Politics is politics. After May 13, I hope to patch up our political differences,” Lacson who is challenging Malacon said in a press conference in his headquarters in the Sajo Mansion in E.B. Magalona.

Lacson has served as mayor of the town for nine years and that Malacon used to be his ally.

Malacon has also assured a friendly fight against Lacson who now belongs to the National Unity Party and United Negros Alliance.

Malacon is with the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino–Lakas ng Bayan and Love-Negros.

Lacson also explained that the picture that showed him with President Rodrigo Duterte was taken at the house of the Yanson Family in Talisay City during the President's recent visit.

He said that he was personally introduced by businessman Roy Yanson to Duterte.

“It was an opportunity that my BFF Roy Yanson introduced me to the President. So if I will be elected as mayor of the town, I will take that opportunity to invite the President in the town,” Lacson said.

Lacson further explained that he utilizes the Sajo Mansion as their headquarter this election because it is accessible to the people as it is located at the town proper.

“This also shows that I am sincere and serious in my purpose to serve the people of E.B. Magalona,” Lacson said.

On the “Tumandok” issue, Lacson said that his family in 1940's has acquired a property in the town and that he has served as Councilor, Vice Mayor and nine years as mayor of the town and it is enough proof of his being a Saraviahanon. (TDE)
