KIDNAPPING charges were filed on April 17 against a 19-year-old babysitter who allegedly brought a one-year-old boy from Bacolod City to Iloilo province without the consent of his parents.
Police Major Sherlock Gabana, head of Police Station 7, said the criminal complaint was filed against Airesh Martir of Barangay Mandalagan, Bacolod City.
The charges came after Martir allegedly took the child on April 15 without the consent of her employers.
She was supposed to introduce the child to the parents of her boyfriend, as their son. Her boyfriend is working in Metro Manila.
On April 16, Martir was arrested at the residence of her boyfriend in Barangay Malagyan, Miag-ao town, after police saw some photos of the child through her Facebook account.
The child was safely rescued and was fetched by her parents.
Martir is detained at Police Station 7. She felt sorry for what she did. (GYM)
