P340-T worth of shabu seized

THE Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)- Central Luzon seized more than P300,000-worth of shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) during an anti-illegal drug operation launched in Mabalacat City recently.

PDEA-Central Luzon Regional Director Gil T. Pabilona said a total of 17 sachets of suspected shabu with estimated value of P340,000 were seized from alleged drug pusher identified as Edgardo Casayuran, 54, a resident of Pangasinan province.

Pabilona disclosed that Casayuran, who is listed in the agency’s target drug personality, is one of the major supplier of illegal drugs, particularly shabu, in Mabalacat City and nearby towns of Pampanga and Tarlac.

Aside from the sachets of shabu, PDEA agents also recovered various drug paraphernalia, a caliber 38 revolver with five live ammunition and buy-bust money from Casayuran during the operation conducted in Bonifacio St., Purok Daang Bakal, Barangay Dau, City of San Fernando.

Casayuran is now detained at PDEA Jail Facility in Diosdado Macapagal Government Center, Barangay Maimpis as he face charges for violation of Section 5 (sale of dangerous drugs) section 11 (possession of dangerous drugs) of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act, and violation of the Republic Act 10591 or the possession of loose firearms.
