Medellin part of race all set for April 28

MOTOCROSS action continues in northern Cebu as the 2019 Mayor Joven Mondigo Invitational Motocross is all set on April 28 in Medellin, following the MS Motosuit 21st Calambua Cup in San Remigio last week.

“It’s been a while since we had a race in Medellin and I’m looking forward to another highly-entertaining motocross action there,” said organizer Lou Ornopia.

Just like the Calambua Cup, over a hundred of speed demons across the country will converge in, not over to Medellin to showcase maneuvering skills and stunts in the internationally-designed race course.

“It’s going to be another action-packed battle in the racetrack, given the caliber of the participating riders from all over the country led, of course, by Cebu’s homegrown talents,” added Ornopia.

Cebu’s most decorated riders BJ Pepito and Jonjon Adlawan will lead the cast of contenders. Pepito and Adlawan split the open and expert division titles in Calambua.

The other categories to be contested in the one-day tilt are the local enduro, beginners production, mini class 50cc and 85cc, intermediate, novice open production, and ladies open.

The race presented by MS Motosuit in association with Medellin LGU will also have special races for the underbone and buggy divisions. (RSC)
