P160,000 shabu seized in NegOcc drug sting

FOUR persons were arrested and P160,000 worth of illegal drugs were seized in two separate drug busts in Negros Occidental on Sunday, April 21.

In Himamaylan City, Rocky Boy Agoyong, 37, of Barangay 1, Kabankalan City was arrested after he allegedly sold shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) to a police agent for P500 in a transaction held at Barangay Mahalang.

Also arrested were Anthony Geminiano, 31; and John Nueva España, 50, both residents of Barangay Su-ay after they were allegedly caught repacking the contraband inside a nipa hut.

Agoyong is a level one high-value target (HVT) in Kabankalan City while Geminiano is also a level one HVT in Himamaylan City. Both had previous cases for the same offense, police records showed.

España is a street level target drug personality.

Police seized from Agoyong six sachets of suspected shabu worth P100,000, the P500 marked money, and drug paraphernalia while España allegedly yielded a homemade shotgun loaded with two live cartridges of 12 gauge shotgun.

Drug charges will be filed against the three suspects while additional charges for illegal possession of firearms and ammunition will also be filed against España.

Authorities also recovered a white Toyota Corola reportedly used by the suspects in the illegal drug trade.

In Bacolod City, Anna Marie Apurong was collared at Barangay 8 after she allegedly yielded nine sachets of suspected shabu worth P60,000, the P500 marked money, and a coin purse. She is detained at Police Station 2.
