Philippine Airlines cancels Clark flights

AFTER the magnitude 6.1 earthquake that struck Luzon, Philippine Airlines announced the cancellation of flights to and from the Clark International Airport.

Clark International Airport will remain closed until 7:40 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, due to damage caused by the earthquake.

The airline company will assist passengers travelling to and from Busuanga and Basco and will be operating new replacement flights to and from Manila as follows:

PR 4682 Manila- Busuanga Estimated Time of Departure/Arrival: 6 AM- 7 AM

PR 4683 Busuanga- Manila Dep: 7:30 AM/ Arr 8:30 AM

PR 4688 Manila- Basco Dep 8:50 AM/ Arr 10:35 AM

PR 4689 Basco- Manila Dep 11:05AM/ Arr 12:50 PM

In an advisory, Philippine Airlines advised passengers that they may do the following:

1. Rebook their flights within 30 days on the same cabin class, without fees

2. Refund their tickets (full fare including taxes and surcharges)

3. Reroute their flights on the same cabin class within 3 days, without fees (rerouting is done to alternative airports within the same zone)

The Philippine Airlines also urged passengers with flights to and from Clark to check the status of their flights by logging on to www.philippineairlines.com and by clicking the flight status button as early as 48 hours to their estimated time of departure.

The PAL Ticket Office at the damaged Clark airport terminal will remain closed, the company said.

Affected passengers in the Clark/ Pampanga area with urgent travel needs may call (45) 409 6888 or if urgently necessary, may proceed to the Angeles City Ticket Office where operations are extended until 7:00pm.

A free shuttle service is available every hour to ferry affected passengers from the airport to the PAL Ticketing Office in Angeles City. (PR)
