LAGAWE, Ifugao -- In a bid to establish a covenant of cooperation among provincial candidates and civil society group, the Ifugao Network of NGOs (non-government organizations) and POs (Peoples Organizations) here conducted recently a candidates’ forum.

Irene Calingayan, the president of Ifugao Federation of Women’s Organization, said the activity did not only feature candidates for the congressional to the board member level, but also highlighted the signing of a covenant between the civil society groups and the provincial candidates.

The covenant covers the prioritization of the provincial candidates on livelihood, enterprise and agro-forest development (Lead) program, said Calingayan.

“They should financially support the said program after the national and local elections,” she added.

The network is composed of leaders from the Social Action Development Center (SADC), Kataguwan, Kiphodan, cooperatives, women, youth, business, health, senior citizens, and religious sectors and the Ifugao Overseas Filipino Workers. (Vency D. Bulayungan)
