2 busted for robbing Bishop’s House

TWO robbers were arrested by police after allegedly robbing the Bishop’s House in the afternoon of April 21 at the Baguio Cathedral Compound, Lower General Luna Barangay, Baguio City.

Filber Mendoza and Samuel Ag-Agwa were caught on a closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera stealing a flat screen 55” TV worth P45,000 from the Bishop’s House.

Responding personnel from Baguio City Police Office Station 7 arrested the suspects and were immediately brought to the police station.

In Benguet Province, a tourist from Batangas was robbed by still unidentified suspects at the strawberry farm in La Trinidad.

According to a report by the La Trinidad Municipal Police Station, the victim was identified as Lerena Perez Antonio, 56, a resident of Taal, Batangas.

Investigation showed the victim took some cash from her wallet and gave it to her child then returned her wallet inside her sling bag without closing the zipper.

While the victim was busy with her dog, a male vendor approached her and convinced her to buy some of his goods but she ignored the vendor.

After picking up her dog, the victim closed the zipper of her sling bag and went to the comfort room to get money for her child and found out her wallet was already missing.

Antonio’s wallet contain professional license, Social Security System (SSS) identification card, two ATM card, reward card, three credit cards and a cash worth more or less P10,000 and assorted receipts.

Police are still conducting follow–up investigation of the incident.
