A MAN died after his nephew mauled him in Barangay Tangub, Bacolod City Monday night, April 22.
Killed was Ronie Lariosa Sr., 55, of Isabela town.
Police Major Charles Gever, head of Police Station 8, said the incident happened after the victim and the suspect, identified as 31-year-old Rowel Lariosa of Barangay Cabug, Bacolod City, had a heated argument.
Drunkenness triggered the argument of the victim and the suspect, who were both working as construction workers, Gever said.
The suspect allegedly hit the victim on his face.
The victim was rushed to Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital, where he was declared dead.
Gever said the suspect was arrested at his residence the following day.
The victim’s family is determined to file homicide charges against the suspect, who is detained at Police Station 8.
